Privacy policy

Motionvio (https://motionvio.us) lets you make motion-graphics videos in your browser. This page says what we collect, why, who else handles it, and what you can do about it. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and profile picture when you sign in with Google, or your email and a hashed password if you sign up with one.
- What you make: your projects, words, brand kit (colours, fonts, logo), templates, comments and the videos you save to your library or share.
- Billing: your plan, its status and renewal date, and the PayPal subscription number. We never see or store your card or bank details — PayPal does.
- Teams: the emails of people you invite, and who belongs to which team.
- Usage and errors: anonymous counts of steps such as "visited", "signed up" and "made a first video", error reports when something breaks, and the feedback you send us. Server logs keep IP addresses for a short time to stop abuse.
Why we use it
- To run your account, save your work and render and share your videos.
- To take payments and know which plan you're on.
- To fix bugs, stop abuse and see where people get stuck, so we can improve the site.
- To answer you when you write to us.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts the site, its database and its files, and counts visits to pages without cookies.
- Google signs you in, if you choose "Continue with Google".
- PayPal takes payments, under its own privacy policy.
- Hugging Face serves the voice and translation models your browser downloads the first time you use them; your words stay in your browser.
We share data with no one else, unless the law requires it.
Cookies and storage
We keep you signed in and remember settings (such as the theme) in your browser's storage. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. When you delete it, your account, projects and videos are deleted; billing records we must keep for tax and accounting are kept as long as the law requires.
Your choices
- See and change your details in Settings.
- Delete your account and everything in it from Settings, at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by email.
Children
Motionvio isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users in the app.
